Kate Atwood is the co-founder and CEO of LoCo+, the first city-based streaming network for premium, local content.
Kate is the founder of Kate’s Club, a nationally acclaimed organization based in Atlanta that empowers children and teens who have experienced the death of a parent or sibling. She is also recognized for her executive roles at the Metro Atlanta Chamber and the Arby’s Foundation.
Before founding LoCo+, Kate served as the Executive Director of ChooseATL, an initiative out of the Metro Atlanta Chamber launched to promote Atlanta to millennials around the globe. Under Kate’s leadership, ChooseATL evolved to become a next-generation movement advancing Atlanta as a top-tier location for emerging tech and creative talent. Her work landed headlines in Forbes, Adweek, and Variety magazine.
Kate is a frequent speaker and the author of “A Healing Place,” published by Penguin Books. Throughout her career, she has appeared on CNN, The Today Show, and ABC’s The View. She has received numerous awards for her work advocating for children, including being named to GOOD Magazine’s Global GOOD 100 list.
In 2018, she was awarded the Children’s Rights Inspiration Award and the Philanthropic Leader of Tomorrow award by the National Association of Fundraising Professionals. Kate resides in Atlanta, Georgia.
