5 years ago, Debora Carrier, working as a full-time dental hygienist, saw a need to solve the thermostat wars in the dental office so she developed and patented temperature regulating, moisture-wicking, antimicrobial uniforms and founded Twice as Nice Uniforms.
In addition to her many years working as a dental hygienist she was also a high fashion model. She took her experience and love of fashion to NYC where she worked with and learned from industry experts about fabrics, fit, and manufacturing before setting out to create a new stylish, technologically advanced approach to medical and dental apparel that is safe, professional, and comfortable. Little did she know how essential comfortable, breathable, safe uniforms would be in 2020 due to COVID19 guidelines.
She has established the company as a niche high end dental and medical apparel company and launched a new program, Twice the Life, to donate gently used uniforms to dental and medical mission trips.
Four current partnerships have allowed her company to grow and remain manufacturing in America. She has partnered with her factory of 4 years in NJ, as a KOL with Proctor and Gamble Crest/Oral B to present fashion shows nationwide to the dental industry and recently partnered with another hygienist, Brandee Rogers, the creator of the Hy-Genius face shield to bring Twice as Nice Uniforms customers another high-quality product. And a very exciting partnership with Dr Kwane Watson creator of the SAM radiation protective lab coat.
Debora has been featured in many magazines including RDH magazine, Dentistry Today, Dental Explorer, Dimensions of Dental Hygiene, Atlanta Best Self, Dental Entrepreneur Women, and winner of Apparel Magazines Most Innovative Company of 2015. She has appeared on national TV on The Doctors, Dr. Phil, and Good Morning America to spread the word about the importance of good oral hygiene.
Debora’s goal with Twice as Nice Uniforms is “Bringing Comfort to those who Comfort Others”. She strives to make the daily life of her fellow healthcare providers more comfortable and safer by providing high quality, temperature regulating, protective, professional-looking uniforms and PPE all made in the USA.
