Elissa Russell applies expert knowledge, industry experience, and relentless energy to her passions.
A graduate of Spelman College (BA in Political Science, 2001) and Georgia State University (Masters of Education in Literacy with a focus on Families, Communities, & Culture, 2020), Elissa began her professional career overseas working with international companies such as Nvidia, Sparkle Computer Company and Western Union teaching business English, consulting on English language branding, strategizes to engage international consumers, and creating strategic communication plans.
Upon returning to the U.S., Elissa continued to explore opportunities to work with adult education and literacy for international clients. At Oglethorpe University’s Education First program, she managed University Prep, an adult education program for international students seeking access to western universities.
Her next role was Leadership at an adult education non-profit where her focus was on workforce readiness program development and improving program outcomes via restructuring, targeted marketing, and intentional planning.
Today, Elissa is a social entrepreneur. Her start-up, READI Consulting, LLC is a for-profit, tech-enabled workforce readiness platform. READI’s mission is to help employers fill open positions by upskilling and reskilling entry level workers. READI is creating an immersive learning experience using a virtual reality platform. READI’s training solution delivers skilled employees that companies want to recruit and retain.
