DND Jewelry was started October 18th, 2015, by 11 year old Danielle Nicole Dickey with the idea of creating beauty to help people express their individual style. The business has grown into hair accessories as well as jewelry to provide a wide variety of options for self-expression in beauty.
Danielle Dickey is now a 14 year old high school freshman attending Basha High part time, taking several electives and is also home schooled, studying her core curriculum with her mother. This first year in public school has been an adventure for her.
As a home schooler, the flexibility has allowed creativity in art and fashion, so after some encouragement and support from mom and dad, Danielle decided to step out and build a business to be proud of.

The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
For people with intellectual disabilities, Special Olympics is often the only place where they have an opportunity to participate in their communities and develop belief in themselves. For athletes, Special Olympics sports provide a gateway to empowerment, competence, acceptance and joy. The lessons learned in Special Olympics also impact their life skills. Sports training enhances focus and gives participants a structure for learning important lessons about perseverance, endurance and setting goals. Many people are surprised to know, more than half of adult Special Olympics athletes in the United States are employed, versus 10 percent of intellectually disabled persons who do not participate in Special Olympics.
Annie Warren is a recent graduate of Arizona State University where she received her undergraduate degrees in Political Science and Economics and graduate degree from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law in Sports Law and Business. Annie grew up in Salt Lake City, UT but moved to Arizona to play for the women’s soccer team at Arizona State.
Initially interested in politics, Annie began her professional journey interning on campaigns for Prop. 123, John McCain, and then transitioned into a staff role as the Campaign Coordinator for Sal DiCiccio in 2017. Annie, however, found her true love and passion at Special Olympics Arizona in January of 2018. Annie credits her younger brother who has autism as her main inspiration and motivation for working for the organization. Beginning as an intern, Annie moved up to a full-time position on staff just two months later.
