A simple desire in 2003 to have a naturally delicious, authentic and healthy granola without lots of fat or fillers led Chef Laura Briscoe to the creation of Vanilla Almond Crunch -the first of what became nine distinctively different varieties of granola created under the banner of her second company, Laura’s Gourmet Granola.
Each mouthwatering flavor of Laura’s Gourmet Granola uses only premium ingredients and is baked the artisan way – one batch at a time – making this elevated brand truly “gourmet granola”.
Chef Laura Briscoe is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and spent 14 years in sales executive roles for companies like Apple, Oracle and Sun.
A self-described “high tech refugee”, Laura Briscoe made the dramatic change from IT sales to culinary professional and gourmet chef.
Leaving a highly lucrative career in sales for well-known tech companies but suffering burnout, Laura Briscoe had always found cooking to be a source of comfort and relaxation.
In 2001, Laura trained to be a chef with Le Cordon Bleu North America and invested her passion into creating high quality cuisine. Her first company, Celebrated Cuisine, was known for high end elegant events throughout Arizona’s Valley of the Sun.
In addition, Chef Laura offered culinary education in a variety of formats, including hands on, demonstration and through various media, including several locally broadcast TV shows.
Chef Laura started her second company, Laura’s Gourmet Granola, after finding traction with a recipe she created for her own enjoyment.
Germain Solis is Chef and Manager of Production and Supply Chain at Laura’s Gourmet Granola.
He is a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu North America and has been employed by Laura’s Gourmet since 2016 and Celebrated Cuisine since 2016.
Germain is responsible for all aspects of production including scheduling production runs, baking, packaging and palletizing finished goods for shipping to distributors.
He manages both the baking and production associates, their schedules and responsibilities.
