BRX Pro Tip: Finding Your First Sponsors
Stone Payton: [00:00:02] And we are back with BRX Pro Tips. Stone Payton and Lee Kantor here with you. Today, Lee, we want to talk about good strategies for finding your first two or three sponsors. What do you think?
Lee Kantor: [00:00:15] Well, when you’re launching a new studio in a market, the place I would look for sponsors is kind of where our existing studio partners have sponsors. So, if you look at the roster of shows at the studio partner level, you’ll see that they kind of have some usual suspects. Some of them are financial advisors, some of them are managed IT companies, CPAs, insurance, commercial real estate. I think that those are the kind of the industries or categories that I would look for if I was starting a new studio.
Lee Kantor: [00:00:53] And I would also talk to the studio partners and ask them, “Hey, how’d you get that CPA? Hey, what was kind of the angle for that financial advisor?” And I would talk to them because they’re a great resource, because they’ve already landed sponsors in those categories. And if it worked for them in their market, there’s no reason it shouldn’t work for you in yours.
Stone Payton: [00:01:14] Well, what I like about that strategy is you have such great immediate evidence for the use case that you can share with your potential clients. So, to me, that is definitely the low hanging fruit.
